Marguerite Tracy

(she/her)

I am a GP Fellow and early career researcher (PhD conferred 2022). I have over 20 years’ experience in clinical general practice, including 9 years at Western Sydney Aboriginal Medical Service. I have competed further training in reproductive and sexual health, a diploma in child health and masters in public health.

I have been involved in medical education since 2004 initially in the private sector in continuing professional development writing and delivering RACGP accredited modules and later as a GP supervisor (and supervisor liaison officer) with the Remote Vocational Training Scheme providing remote GP training. I am an examiner for the RACGP, member of the RACGP Expert Committeee-Quality Care, deputy chair of the RACGP Specific Interest Group in Addiction Medicine and have RACGP Recognition of Extended Skills in addiction medicine.

I am passionate about person centred health care and empowering people to make decisions about their health care. Addressing inequities in health care for vulnerable populations drives my clinical and research work.
