Dr Margaret Giles commenced at ECU in July 2008 and moved to an adjunct position in July 2018.
Most recently, Margaret was funded by the Australian Institute of Criminology and the Victorian Department of Justice for studies on the effectiveness of prisoner education in Western Australia and Victoria. She was the organising Chair of the 2012 Meta-Analysis in Economics Research Network (MAER-Net) Colloquium and is an active researcher in MAER-Net with research on optimal school size and the effectiveness of correctional education. Margaret has previously worked in research, policy, and planning positions in State and Federal Governments and the not-for-profit sector, as well as in teaching and research positions within the private and public university sector.
