Dr Marcel Nagar is a Political Studies lecturer at the University of the Western Cape
Her research interests include African politics, South African politics, South African public policy and administration, international political economy, and the broader debates surrounding the democratic developmental state. She is the author of The Road to Democratic Development Statehood: The Cases of Ethiopia, Mauritius, and Rwanda. (New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2021).
