- Postdoctoral research associate, Universidad del País Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea
Marc is a theoretical physicist at the University of the Basque Country, where he is part of the Gravitation, Cosmology, and Fundamental Physics group. He earned his PhD at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany, with a dissertation on the consistency of quantum field theory in black hole interiors. Prior to joining the University of the Basque Country, he held postdoctoral positions at the Pennsylvania State University, the Albert Einstein Institute for Gravitational Physics, and SISSA in Italy.
Marc's research centers on quantum field theory in curved spacetime, particularly in the context of black holes and the early universe. A key goal of his work is to identify potential signatures of quantum gravity in extreme regions of spacetime, such as near singularities and horizons. He also explores analog gravity models and vacuum effects in quantum electrodynamics.
