I am a carbonate sedimentologist and coral specialist. I study fossil coral reefs to understand the impacts of sea-level and environmental changes on reef growth and reef communities, particularly coral communities. My research also aims to reconstruct sea-level history. I have worked on Quaternary fossil reef systems from various places, including the Ryukyu Islands, Australia, French Polynesia, the Seychelles, the Maldives, and Hawaii.
