My research interests include: bioacoustics; bat echolocation; Acoustic camouflage; acoustic metamaterials; biomimetic noise control; bat flight; the spatiotemporal use of natural habitats by bats; information landscapes in real habitats and their use by bats; the adaptive echolocation and movement interactions in co-flying bats; the interactions between echolocating bats and prey that can hear ultrasound; the evolution of natural echoes (insects and bat-pollinated flowers); and Animal Conservation working with the Bristol Conservation and Science Foundation (BCSF) at Bristol Zoo.
