I am currently a final-year PhD Researcher at the University of Exeter, where my research focuses on the role of fish communities in soft sediment seabed habitats and the implications for sediment carbon storage. My PhD is part of the Convex Seascape Survey - a five-year multidisciplinary project seeking to understand the carbon stored in the world's seabeds - where I sit within the team researching how life and biodiversity regulate seabed carbon stores, and the potential benefits of protection from destructive fishing practices such as trawling and dredging.
