Dr Majdi Faleh is an Academic Fellow (Lecturer) at Nottingham Trent University in the UK, where he has led several major international grants, including a British Council-funded Transnational Education (TNE) project bringing together universities and heritage organisations across the UK and Tunisia to explore climate change, cultural heritage, and sustainable conservation. He also led the Jusour project, an international initiative using film and public engagement to document and promote Tunisia's cultural heritage through collaborations spanning academia, government, and local communities.

Throughout his career, Majdi has held academic and research positions at several internationally recognised institutions, including the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, University of Oxford, where he was a Research Fellow, and the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he completed a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Middle East and taught at the University of Western Australia across the Schools of Design, Engineering and Mathematics, and Earth and Environment. He also served as teaching assistant at the University of Melbourne and Deakin University in Australia. His international teaching experience further includes appointments at Northeast Forestry University in Harbin and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology in China.

Alongside academia, Majdi is a registered architect with professional experience in internationally renowned practices including HKS (USA), DIFFUS (Denmark), and Architecture Studio (Paris). His work bridges architectural practice, heritage conservation, urban history, and design education, with a particular focus on the Islamic world and the relationship between culture, identity, and the built environment.

Among his academic achievements, Majdi was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship in the United States and the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship for his doctoral studies. His PhD, A Holistic Ethical System of Architecture in the Time of Globalization: Between Dubai and the Medina of Tunis, examined the ethical, cultural, and design challenges facing architecture in rapidly changing societies, particularly in Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates. Since then, his research has expanded to encompass UNESCO World Heritage, mosque architecture, climate adaptation, migration, and the future of architectural education, working with governments, international organisations, and universities across Europe, Australia, North America, and the Middle East.
