My academic journey began with an engineering degree from Cairo University, followed by a master’s and a PhD in Renewable Energy Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, where I specialized in functional materials and emerging photovoltaic technologies. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, contributing to research on next-generation solar cells.

My work focuses on the design, fabrication, characterization, and optimization of photovoltaic devices, with particular emphasis on hybrid perovskite solar cells. I combine advanced optoelectronic characterization, semiconductor deposition techniques, device simulation, and data-driven approaches to better understand and improve solar energy technologies.

Beyond device performance, I am deeply interested in the broader scientific and societal dimensions of the global energy transition, including sustainability, responsible materials use, and the role of renewable energy in building a more equitable and sustainable future.
