Maha Khawaja

Maha Khawaja is a PhD student in Health and Society at McMaster University. Her work brings sex and relationship research into conversation with life after cancer—particularly the relational and sexual afterlives of treatments such as radiation therapy—and other life-altering experiences. Drawing on feminist, critical, and mixed-methods approaches, her research examines how intimacy, desire, and sexual well-being are reshaped in these contexts, especially for women and marginalized communities.
