Magda Robalo is the co-chair of UHC2030 and the president and co-founder of The Institute for Global Health and Development. She is an infectious disease physician and public health expert, whose career spans for over 30 years in the global health ecosystem. With her extensive experience in health policy and advocacy, Magda has championed equitable access to healthcare for all, especially the most vulnerable populations. She spearheaded successful initiatives in her current role as president and co-founder of The Institute for Global Health and Development and as former Minister of Public Health, Presidential High Commissioner for the COVID-19 response in Guinea-Bissau, WHO representative, WHO director of communicable diseases and global managing director of Women in Global Health.
