Madhuka Thisuri De Silva

Dr Madhuka De Silva is a Researcher at RMIT University and a Research Officer at Monash University, where she completed her PhD in Human-Centred Computing. Her research focuses on designing inclusive digital technologies for people with disabilities, women, and gender-diverse communities, with particular interest in recreation and well-being access, and safe online interactions.

She has been part of an ACCAN-funded national research project examining how social media platforms can be made safer by design. Her broader work spans participatory methods, technology-facilitated abuse, and accessible technology design, and she is committed to translating research into policy-relevant outcomes. She has published at leading venues including ACM CHI and ACM ASSETS.
