Dr Madeline Taylor is a fashion and sustainability designer, researcher and educator. A lecturer in the School of Design at Queensland University of Technology, she recently received her PhD from University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on digital gift economies, community engagement using creative methods, the emotional and social intelligences in design collaboration and fashion sustainability. Her teaching experience draws on two decades of industry practice, primarily in costume design and production, along with capabilities gained through her involvement in several national and international research projects over the last seven years. For the last 10 years she has been a co-director of The Stitchery Collective, a Brisbane based design collective that focuses on issues of social justice and sustainability community education and public engagement using fashion and clothing.
