- PhD Candidate, School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow
My research seeks to understand the role of Food-Based Dietary Guidelines in the transition towards more plant-based, sustainable diets. I have a strong educational background in Psychology and research experience in Food Systems and Public Health Nutrition. My PhD is an intersection of Public Health Nutrition and Psychology. Additionally, I apply a systems perspective to my research to understand the role of dietary guidelines in the current UK and wider contexts. Between November 2024 and February 2025, I successfully undertook an internship with the Scottish Government on their Good Food Nation plan, which helped me to develop an additional perspective on political priorities around food. I am also interested in behaviour change for sustainability and dietary habits, as well as the use of information and misinformation, and barriers to policymaking.
