I have an MD from the University of Toronto as well as the MHSc from the same institution. I have a Fellowship in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. I was elected to Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, and was appointment Member of the Order of Canada in November 2020 for my "influential research on health equity and food insecurity, and [my] contribution to public health policies in Canada."
