Lydia Collison

Lydia is a lecturer in physical activity and behaviour change at the University of Bristol. She specialises in understanding the broad factors that influence children's physical activity engagement and applying this understanding to the development and evaluation of interventions. She has a PhD in health psychology from the University of Bath, and has worked as a post-doctoral researcher and now lecturer in physical activity and behaviour change at the University of Bristol since 2017. Her research uses mixed methods and she has particular expertise in participatory methods with children and families. Her current interests include context-specific physical activity interventions, unstructured physical activity and play, and play and physical activity as a means of promoting well-being in underserved communities.
