Lutz Sager is an environmental economist who studies the costs of and solutions to climate change and air pollution. His work highlights distributional considerations, looking for policy instruments that are both effective and equitable. Since 2024, Dr. Sager is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department of ESSEC Business School. Before that, he was Assistant Professor at Georgetown University. His work has been published in leading academic journals, featured in media outlet worldwide, as well as referenced by governments and international organizations.
