Luregn Lenggenhager

I’m a historian with a focus on environmental and rural history of Namibia and Southern Africa, and in recent years I have increasingly used Southern African history as a point of departure to contribute to broader discussions in European and planetary historiography. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the Centre for African Studies at the University of Basel, Switzerland, leading the SNSF Starting Grant project „Curated Escapes and Derelict Landscapes in Times of Climate Change“.
