Lucy Grace is a researcher and writer from Nottinghamshire, UK. Her work is connected with nature, deep-time, geology and climate-change and explores how these affect human lives and relationships. She is in the final stages of a creative-critical AHRC-funded PhD titled, ‘Stories in Stones: Mines, Memory and the Geological Imagination in the Anthropocene.’ She has a BA in Geography, an MA in Education, and an MA in Creative Writing.

Lucy recently undertook a Policy Internship with Natural England / DEFRA to consider the cultural, social and ecological importance of trees to the UK population. She produced a policy paper proposing how important trees can be defined, mapped and protected.
