Lucy Bray is a medical doctor and PhD fellow at the Research and Implementation Unit PROgrez in Region Zealand, Denmark, where she studies the intersection of climate and environmnetal change and health. Her research focuses on understanding and reducing the environmental impacts of healthcare, whilst maintaining high-quality patient care.

She is currently developing a model to quantify the climate and environmental impacts associated with treating chronic diseases, using knee osteoarthritis as a case study. The aim is to help healthcare systems identify opportunities to deliver care more sustainably.

Alongside her research, she has been involved in advancing the field of climate and health through work in health professions education, supporting mitigation efforts within clinical departments, and contributing to wider discussions on how healthcare can respond to the climate and environmental crises.

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education from the United Kingdom and is currently specialising in public health.
