Louise is a Wildlife Biologist who project leads the Angel Shark Project: Ireland, a coordinator for the Irish Elasmobranch Group and an assistant lecturer at Munster Technological University.
Her research area is coastal ecology with a focus on the study and conservation of sharks, skates, and rays. And she is currently studying for a PhD in elasmobranch conservation in the southwest of Ireland with University College Cork.
Other work involves conducting post-mortems on endangered species (such as Angel Sharks and Flapper Skates) to understand their biology, habitat, and to mitigate risks like fishing bycatch.
