Louisa recently completed her PhD on language learning motivation, focusing on how to improve participation in languages in Australian schools and universities. Louisa has a background as a French and history teacher with experience in educational settings across Australia, France, and the UK. Her latest research has been with the British Council funded ELTRA project, exploring ways to improve teacher wellbeing among English teachers in Ukraine and to decolonise English language teaching.
