Dr Bherer is a neuropsychologist specialized in the prevention of cognitive decline associated with aging and cardiovascular diseases and an international expert on the effects of physical exercise, cognitive training and the heart-brain axis. He has directed multiple lifestyle intervention clinical trials combining physical exercise and cognitive training to enhance brain health and mobility in aging. A recognized academic leader, Dr Bherer has served as Director of Clinical Research at the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal, inaugural Scientific Director of Concordia University’s PERFORM Centre, and is currently Director of the Centre ÉPIC at the Montreal Heart Institute.
