Lisa Stafford

Dr Lisa Stafford is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow at Inclusive Futures Griffith Health.

Lisa is an applied researcher, educator and planner in inclusive communities, cities, regions and transport equity, with 25 years’ experience across academia and professional practice (government and non government). Lisa focuses on promoting equity and justice in neighbourhood planning, regional development, active and public transport strategy, and universal design open space and public infrastructure.

Lisa is also a highly experienced participatory researcher and facilitator who specialises in the design and use of inclusive creative methods and practice-led research to enable all voices to be heard in research and public planning.

In addition to Lisa's wealth of experience and expertise, Lisa also bring's her own experience as chronically-ill disabled person and ambulant wheelchair user. Lisa has held numerous leadership board roles including recent appointment as the Chair of Disability-Led Ethical Oversight Panel for the National Disability Data Assest. Lisa is also full member of Planning Institute of Australia (MPIA) and Transport Australia Society.
