As a public health researcher, Lisa's research interests primarily focus on alcohol use and prevention of harm through individual and policy level interventions.
Her PhD was a cross-cultural comparison of perception and practices of alcohol use during pregnancy in England and Sweden. Besides her work on alcohol, Lisa has also worked across topics related to prison health. Her previous roles have included work as consultant for the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe. Her current work is in mental health research and she holds a postdoctoral research fellow post at the Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention where she is involved in work around banning of highly hazardous pesticides in low and middle income countries and the impact on the incidence of pesticide suicide.
