I am a researcher examining social dimensions of climate change and disaster risk, in particular the link between adaptation and development, and the socio-cultural drivers of vulnerability. I work at the University of Bonn. I am co-Editor in Chief of the journal Climate and Development, and was a Co-ordinating Lead Author of Chapter 18 in the IPCC Sixth Assessment report for Working Group 2 (Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability).
