Lisa Hui

Professor Lisa Hui is a maternal–fetal medicine specialist and researcher working to improve the health of women and babies before, during and after pregnancy. She is based at the University of Melbourne, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Mercy Hospital for Women and Northern Health.

Her research focuses on prenatal screening and diagnosis, pregnancy infections such as cytomegalovirus, genetic testing, congenital conditions and making maternity care more equitable. She works with families, clinicians, researchers and policy makers to translate new evidence into better information, services and health policy.

Lisa also advises state and national bodies on perinatal health and congenital conditions, and is a Board Director of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis.
