Lisa Gasson-Gardner

Lisa Gasson-Gardner is an assistant professor of religious studies at Mount Royal University. She studies contemporary religions, especially Christianity, and new religious movements. Her book Listening Right: Truth, Affect, and White Evangelical Christianity is under review at Fordham University Press. The book argues, in part, that white evangelical Christians recognized Donald Trump's apocalyptic vision of the US as "American carnage." Now living in Canada, she investigates uniquely Canadian apocalyptic narratives and Christian Nationalism. Lisa is a core faculty member with QriTical, the Queer and Trans Research Hub at MRU.
