Linn Biörklund, PhD

Linn Biörklund is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Social Anthropology, University of Barcelona, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC, Canada). She holds a Ph.D. in Geography and has received numerous research grants and awards. She is also affiliated with the Centre for Refugee Studies and the Centre for Feminist Research at York University. Linn has extensive experience working with social justice movements and humanitarian NGOs. Her research bridges political geography, social anthropology, and transnational feminist approaches to redefine violence, bordering practices, and care along migratory routes and in places of refuge.
