Lianganzi Wang is a PhD candidate in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, based at the Centre for Digital Music (C4DM). Her research centres on machine learning for generative audio: she studies how real measured contact forces can be used to condition neural audio generators, so that synthesized impact and contact sounds are physically realistic — with applications in Foley and sound design for film and games. She is also a musician: an erhu player certified at Grade 10 by the China Conservatory of Music, and she enjoys creating her own music with AI tools.
