Leanne is a behavioural ecologist specializing in chemical communication in birds. She has three degrees in biology, having earned her BSc (Hons) from the University of Winnipeg in 2011, her MSc from McMaster University in 2014, and her PhD from Western University in 2020. Leanne is also the recipient of several prestigious research awards, including the Gilles Brassard Doctoral Prize for Interdisciplinary Research and a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
