Professor Leah Bromfield is the Chair of Child Protection and Director of the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia. She was formerly the Professorial Fellow to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. She was a Commissioner for the Commission of Inquiry into Tasmanian Government Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Contexts. She is a well regarded research expert in issues affecting child protection systems, chronic maltreatment and cumulative harm, child sexual abuse and research to practice. She has worked with government on establishing and implementing child welfare reforms.
