Lauren is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UofT supervised by Donald Jackson. Her research focuses on the effects of urbanization on freshwater aquatic biodiversity.
Previously, Lauren graduated from UofT with an Honours BSc with distinction in 2019 with a double-major in Environmental Science and Biodiversity & Conservation Biology. While in her undergrad she worked on research projects involving marine fishes in the Bay of Fundy (Nova Scotia) , and turtle artificial incubation and physiology.
Lauren is also interested in water policy, and she is the Secretary of The North American Youth Parliament for Water, a non-profit focused on bringing more youth voices into the water sector. https://naypw.wordpress.com/
