Lauren Dawson is a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Animal Biosciences at The University of Guelph. Her research has focused on using animal behaviour to make inferences about animal welfare, across a variety of species (cats, dogs, farmed mink, chickens). Her main research interests include the assessment of fear, stress and pain, environmental enrichment and the development of animal welfare assessment schemes.
