- Professeur, Princeton University
Laure Resplandy joined the Princeton University faculty in the Department of Geosciences and the High Meadows Environmental Institute in February 2017. Her research investigates how climate and ocean dynamics shape marine ecosystems, global carbon and oxygen cycles — and how these influence the Earth’s climate. Her group develops advanced numerical models, ranging from high-resolution regional simulations to global Earth system models, and integrates them with observations to advance understanding of the ocean–climate system.
Laure obtained her Bsc.(’03) and Msc. (’06) in Geosciences from École Normale Supérieure in Paris and her Ph.D. (’10) in Oceanography from Sorbonne Universités. Her work has been recognized with several honors, including a Sloan Research Fellowship and an NSF CAREER Award.
