Laura Minor

I am Senior Lecturer in Television and Media Studies at the University of Salford, where my research examines class, gender, and authorship in British screen cultures.

I was recently named an AHRC/BBC New Generation Thinker (2025) and currently serve as Co-Investigator on the AHRC project 'What's on? Rethinking class in the television industry' (£577,144), which examines structural inequalities in media production.

I am the author of Reclaiming Female Authorship in UK Television Comedy (Edinburgh University Press, 2024), which was nominated for Best First Monograph by BAFTSS, and co-author of Television Goes Back to the Future: Rethinking TV's Streaming Revolution (Palgrave Macmillan, 2025).
