Professor Lata Gautam is a forensic toxicologist at Anglia Ruskin University. Her research focuses on spiking and drug-facilitated sexual assault (DFSA), particularly improving detection, investigation, and awareness of these offences. She also has expertise in the analysis of drugs of abuse and pharmaceutical compounds in biological samples, as well as seized street samples. Before joining academia, she worked at the National Forensic Science Laboratory, Nepal, initially in forensic biology and later in toxicology.
