My interest in Early Childhood Education spans over 30 years. I have taught in England, New Zealand and here is Australia in both schools and Early Learning and Development services.
Here at Murdoch University I teach in a range of units covering curriculum areas, the principles and practices of early childhood and children’s literature.
I am currently completing my Education Doctorate with a focus on play schemas and how this supports the early learning of mathematics.
I have recently completed a trainers course with SchemaPlay: A Community Interest Company and received a licence to train, Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) Theory and Observation course providing information on working with infants, toddlers and families according to the Magda Gerber approach, and Tribes Learning Community supporting the development of learning communities.
