Kumar Yogeeswaran

Kumar Yogeeswaran is a social and behavioral scientist with special expertise in the study of intergroup conflict. His research focuses on understanding factors that contribute to conflict and coexistence in pluralistic nations comprised of ethnic, religious, and ideological diversity. He is currently a Professor of Psychology at the University of Canterbury, and previously served as a Principal Scientific Advisor at the Secretary's Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the US Department of State through a fellowship from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He has also been recognized as Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP), and Fellow of the Society for Experimental Social Psychology (SESP).
