- Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience, University of Sussex
I study Neurovascular coupling, which is the link between blood flow and neural activity in the brain. Whenever your brain cells become active they require a constant supply of blood to meet the increasing energy demands. My research looks to characterise the specific relationship between the neurons and the blood supply in the brain, in the hope that we can then apply this knowledge to the better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and motor neuron disease.
