I'm a historical archaeologist and food historian focusing on food and immigration in the 19th century. My dissertation focused on food and dining in the Female Immigration Depot (1848-1887) at Hyde Park Barracks, Sydney and I am now studying the lives of Chinese immigrants in San Jose, California with the Market Street Chinatown Archaeology Project.
