Kieran is an ecologist whose research disentangles the impact of natural and anthropogenic pressures on river communities. His previous work has focused on how regulators such as the Environment Agency can monitor human influences on drying river communities. In his current position, Kieran is researching the role of sediment dynamics in shaping river communities.
Since 2021, Kieran has been a Lecturer in Environmental Sciences, contributing to teaching and assessment on a range of Ecology, Environmental Science and Geographic Information Systems modules.
