Kerby Goff is the Associate Director of Research for the Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance. He investigates the cultural causes and consequences of social conflict and change, particularly with respect to gender and race in religious. His dissertation and book project analyzes the role of gendered religion in the emergence of the largest women's movement of the 19th century, the Woman's Missionary Movement. Dr. Goff received his PhD in sociology from Penn State University, an MA in intercultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a BS in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M. His research is published in Sociology of Education, Criminology, and other journals, and he has written on the 2020 racial justice protests for The Washington Post.
