Dr Wolfe is a marine biologist and ecologist with a keen focus on marine invertebrates. Kenny’s research addresses issues of taxonomy, population dynamics, habitat degradation, climate change and ecosystem functioning, and how knowledge gained can be applied to inform management and conservation. He has worked from the temperate intertidal to tropical coral reefs, and has a particular interest in the Echinodermata, including management of the nuisance Crown-of-Thorns Sea star and the global protection of sea cucumbers in a perilous state of conservation. Currently, Kenny works as a contract-based researcher, continuing to tackle priority issues regarding invertebrates and ecosystems in a changing world.
