- Astronomer, CSIRO
I'm an engineer with an astronomy problem. I completed an engineering degree in Australia in 2002 and spent five years designing satellite equipment in the UK. On returning to Australia with a pregnant wife and no job, I started a PhD in astronomy because it was the least responsible thing I could think of at the time.
I am currently a Principal Research Engineer at the CSIRO and spend my time looking for cosmic lenses, fast radio bursts and breathing life into CSIRO's newest telescope: The Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder.
