Kean Birch

I am Director of the Institute for Technoscience & Society and Professor in the Graduate Program Director of the Science & Technology Studies (STS) Graduate Program at York University, Canada. From July 2024, I will be based in the Department of Science, Technology & Society where I am taking up the Ontario Research Chair in Science Policy. I am Co-Editor of the Science & Technology Studies (STS) journal "Science as Culture". My research focuses on understanding the complexities of technoscientific capitalism. My most recent book is called "Data Enclaves", published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2023.
