I am a PhD Candidate interested in fintech, digital platform regulation, and platform sovereignty. My research examines buy-now-pay-later apps by applying media methods to non-media technologies, to understand what new findings can come from shifting the paradigm. I have previously been published in New Media and Society, Media International Australia, and The Conversation. I was a 2024 Summer Scholar at the Australian Parliamentary Library where I conducted research into how fintech is framed and debated within Parliament.
