I continue to work on various projects in the field of modern manuscript studies: George Eliot's fiction manuscripts; an extended study of Jane Austen's unfinished manuscript fiction The Watsons.
I have work in press on Walter Scott. A new project centres on the writings of Rose Macaulay. My alternative biography of Jane Austen: Jane Austen in 41 Objects was published in March 2025 from Bodleian Library Publishing.
