Kathryn Henne

Professor Kathryn (Kate) Henne is the Director of the School of Regulation and Global Governance at The Australian National University (ANU), where she leads the Justice and Technoscience Lab and serves on the executive of the ANU Integrated AI Network. She is also an adjunct professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University.

An interdisciplinary scholar, Professor Henne studies how science and technology influence the governance of health, public safety and social welfare. Much of her work examines the interface between intersecting inequalities and regulation. Her publications span diverse areas, including algorithmic systems, biomedicine, data governance, gender-based regulation, human enhancement and wellbeing, injury and surveillance.
