Associate Professor Katherine Main is a recognised leader in the area of young adolescents, with a sustained research program focused on the bidirectional influences between student and teacher well-being, the development of social and emotional capabilities, and the role of intentional pedagogies in shaping engagement and learning. In recognition of her contribution to the international scholarship and practice in middle years education, she was appointed as an Ambassador to Adolescent Success in 2026. She is a lecturer and program leader in the School of Education and Professional Studies, Griffith University.
